CSWST2 supported Alameda County in planning efforts for the Niles Canyon Trail, a proposed multi-use trail connecting communities through a narrow, environmentally sensitive canyon corridor. The project balances public access goals with significant natural, cultural, and infrastructure constraints.
CSWST2 contributed to alternatives analysis and technical evaluation, addressing grading, drainage, and alignment challenges within the constrained canyon setting. The work informed environmental review efforts and helped establish a feasible framework for future trail development.
