CSWST2 supported the City of San Rafael in reimagining Third and Second Streets — a primary gateway to downtown — as a safer and more accessible corridor for all modes of travel. The project serves a diverse mix of residential, commercial, and transit uses along a critical downtown spine.
The improvements include upgraded intersections, enhanced pedestrian crossings, a protected cycle track, and coordinated utility and pavement rehabilitation. The corridor redesign closes key gaps in the City’s bicycle network while improving pedestrian safety and circulation.
