Martin Canyon Creek Flood Damage Repair | Dublin, CA
Martin Canyon Creek is a small but dynamic watershed in the City of Dublin that experienced significant debris flow during the 2022–2023 storm events. Intense rainfall caused sediment and debris to partially block a downstream culvert, increasing flood risk to nearby infrastructure and neighborhoods.
CSWST2 supported the City through emergency assessment and repair planning efforts. The team evaluated creek conditions, reviewed existing slope stabilization measures installed during earlier development, and identified deficiencies exposed by the storm event. Ongoing work includes evaluating options for creek stabilization, sediment and debris removal, and long-term flood resilience.
This effort supports the City’s emergency response and recovery goals while establishing a more resilient approach to managing future storm events within a constrained watershed.
