Located along the San Francisco Bay in Richmond’s Marina Bay neighborhood, Lucretia W. Edwards Shoreline Park transforms a former industrial waterfront into a vibrant public recreation area. The two-acre park provides access to the water for fishing, kayaking, and kiteboarding while connecting to the 240-mile Bay Trail network.
CSWST2 provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the park’s design and implementation, including plan revisions, specifications, bid documents, cost estimating, and construction support. The team worked closely with the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) and the California Coastal Commission to navigate a complex regulatory environment and ensure environmentally sensitive development.
The resulting park enhances public access to the Bay, integrates sustainable shoreline design, and contributes to a continuous system of regional trails and open space along the Richmond Marina.
