San Rafael Fire Stations 54 & 55 | San Rafael, CA

$25.00

CSWST2 supported the modernization of Fire Stations 54 and 55 as part of the City of San Rafael’s Essential Facilities Program. The projects addressed aging infrastructure, operational needs, and accessibility while improving the long-term resilience of two essential public safety facilities.

At Fire Station 54, the renovation retained the existing steel-framed apparatus bay and replaced outdated living quarters with a new two-story structure elevated above flood levels. At Fire Station 55, temporary facilities supported continued emergency response during phased construction. Both projects required coordination within constrained, occupied sites.

Working with LCA Architects, CSWST2 provided grading and drainage design, apparatus and parking circulation improvements, accessible walkways, stormwater treatment, sanitary sewer connections, and fire suppression water services. The team also supported construction phasing and temporary facility integration, helping maintain station operations while connecting new improvements with existing infrastructure.
