Berkeley Fire Station No. 6

$25.00

CSWST2 is supporting the City of Berkeley’s modernization of Fire Station No. 6, a 5,000-square-foot facility originally constructed in 1960. The renovation addresses current code requirements, accessibility, resilience, and operational needs while maintaining active fire and emergency medical services during construction.

Working with ELS Architecture + Urban Design, CSWST2 has provided civil engineering and surveying services for the station’s exterior improvements. The team completed a detailed topographic survey and designed an accessible pedestrian ramp connecting the building to the adjacent sidewalk, along with related grading and utility modifications. Civil plans also address stormwater management and erosion control during construction.

CSWST2’s scope includes permitting support, bidding assistance, and construction administration to carry the exterior improvements from design through implementation. The work supports a safer, more accessible station that continues to serve the surrounding community.
