As a Principal at CSWST2, Michael Vidra leads the firm’s Pleasanton office and brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to civil engineering. A graduate of California State University, Chico, Mike credits his fascination with infrastructure to a lifelong curiosity about how things work. There’s a saying around the office—“when a good civil does their job right, you’d never even know they were there”—and Mike takes that ethos to heart.
At his core, Mike is a people person who values the opportunity to connect with communities through his work. He takes pride in seeing the parks, trails, and streetscapes he’s helped design woven into everyday life throughout the region. His project experience spans multi-use trail systems, K–14 education modernizations, and mixed-use residential developments, serving both public and private clients.
Outside of work, Mike prioritizes time with his close-knit family. He can often be found coaching his daughter’s soccer team, spending afternoons at the playground with his kids, or heading out on family camping trips.
