As a Principal at CSWST2, Julia Harberson specializes in incorporating green infrastructure and stormwater management into public and private land development projects. A Bay Area native, Julia first recognized her interest in infrastructure design as a teenager during a trip to Europe, where she found herself intrigued by the complexity of ancient waterways and sewer systems.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Julia continued to develop this interest during her service, ultimately pursuing engineering studies at the University of Portland. She joined CSWST2 as an intern more than 20 years ago and now leads teams of engineers delivering a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects throughout the region.
Julia serves as a project lead in coordination with telecommunications firms and fiber installation efforts, blending her long-standing passion for low-impact development with emerging technologies in green infrastructure. A skilled generalist, she also supports clients on streetscape improvements, higher education modernizations, and commercial redevelopment projects.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time outdoors hiking through Sonoma County, trail running, and traveling throughout Europe. She is also an avid home baker with a particular flair for patisserie—her French macarons are well respected and highly sought after by her coworkers.
