$25.00

As a Principal at CSWST2, Josh Woelbing leads the firm’s Survey Department, specializing in boundary determination, topographic mapping, drone surveying, and subdivision creation and review for both private- and public-sector clients throughout the Bay Area. He began his career with CSWST2 as a summer intern in 2001—nearly 25 years ago—and has since played a central role in building and advancing the firm’s surveying practice.

A Sonoma County native and graduate of SRJC’s Technology program in both Land Surveying and Civil Engineering. Josh developed his technical foundation under the mentorship of one of the firm’s founders, John Stuber. In 2018, he launched CSWST2’s drone surveying program and has since pioneered innovative ways to integrate traditional surveying practices with emerging technologies, improving both efficiency and accuracy across a wide range of projects.

Deeply committed to the land surveying profession, Josh is an active leader in the California Land Surveyors Association. He has served as the Marin County CLSA Chapter President since 2021 and previously held the role of Chapter Secretary for several years. He also contributes to the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG) as a subject matter expert, helping develop and refine the California-specific Professional Land Surveyor exam.

Josh is passionate about seeing his work make a tangible difference in the communities where he grew up and is now raising his own family. Outside of work, he enjoys a wide range of hobbies—including spending time with his kids, working on cars, gaming, Magic: The Gathering, gunsmithing, and, believe it or not, reading about surveying.
