Hamilton Storm Water Pump Station No. 1 - Novato, California.
This pump station was designed to handle 86% of the runoff for the Hamilton Army Air Field Base Reuse project area. The pump station has a capacity of 320 cfs, three 40,000-gpm diesel power pumps, two 10,000 gpm submersible pumps and one 5-hp submersible pump for lower flows. Integrated into a levee that was constructed as part of the project, the station is self-contained and can operate in a power failure condition. This station has an 84" diameter inlet and three 48" and two 24" discharge outlets. The engines are equipped with hospital-grade exhaust mufflers.
