SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, CIVIL – NOVATO AND PETALUMA OFFICES
(Two positions)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Registration as Licensed Professional Engineer in California. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience managing complex projects including subdivision improvements, public works, subdivision mapping, street design, grading, drainage and utility design. Must be familiar with AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop, Excel, Word and hydraulic/hydrology software. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, coordinates and directs a number of large and important projects or a project of major scope and importance. Exercises full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments and performs quality control checks. Is responsible for the overall success of projects, including schedule, cost, billing and collection activities. Is active in business development, including pre-proposal contact, proposal preparation and presentation, and client maintenance. Serves as technical specialist within the division in the application of concepts and processes.


PROJECT MANAGER I, CIVIL - NOVATO OFFICE

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of five years of design/construction experience and two years of project management experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a public agency, but experience in the private sector working with agencies is acceptable. Experience in construction techniques, concrete construction and pump station design would be helpful. Professional license is preferred but not required. Must be conversant with AutoCAD 2005, word processing and spreadsheet software. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy interacting with agency personnel.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for completion of projects in the areas of water distribution systems, joint trench, utility design and roadway rehabilitation. Most projects are rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. Responsibilities include writing proposals and specifications, preparing drawings and documents for bidding, coordinating the project team, reviewing the work of team members for quality and compliance with standards and meeting and communicating regularly with clients and agency staff.


PROJECT ENGINEER II, CIVIL - NOVATO OFFICE

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and three to five years of experience (or two to three years with Master's degree), with an emphasis in hydrology and hydraulics. EIT is required and PE is preferred. Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD, LDD and hydrology/hydraulic software such as or equivalent to HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs and EPA SWMM. Familiarity with water distribution system software such as EPA NET or WaterCAD a plus but not required. Must also be competent in database, spreadsheet and word processing software and with an interest in using Civil 3D and BIM software. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be a self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team and is eager to continue to develop professional design skills.

Responsibilities:
In addition to performing hydrology/hydraulic analyses, the project engineer may work, under direction of the project manager, on feasibility studies, grading, drainage and utility plans, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for land development, public works and institutional projects.


CIVIL DESIGNER - NOVATO OFFICE

Requirements:

High school graduate with three to six years civil design experience. Highly motivated and eager to further develop design skills. Highly skilled in AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop, some exposure to Civil 3D preferred. Must be competent in database, spreadsheet and word processing software. Good verbal and written communication skills required as well as a desire to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the project manager, is able to design and lay out planning and engineering drawings and may draft the design or assign the final drafting to more junior technicians. Is very experienced in certain design areas, such as grading, utility or site planning design and able to work with minimal oversight in these areas.
