If you live in the Petaluma area then you’ve probably noticed that construction is well underway on the Deer Creek Village project! As you can see in the aerial photo above taken on October 2nd, RMC Constructors have made significant progress in the past few months with a majority of the utilities installed and the pad on Friedman’s Home Improvement building already poured. CSW|ST2 has been involved with the project from the entitlement phase, to the development of the construction drawings, and is currently doing the construction staking with R.W. Davis and Associates.
The 300,000 square foot mixed-use infill project will include a cohesive blend of retail, office, and outdoor spaces including the preservation and restoration of Deer Creek. One of MGP’s (Merlone Geier Partners) main goals for the project was to focus on sustainable construction and encouraging community use throughout the site. As a result the developers have put a strong emphasis green building materials and on pedestrian and outdoor use through the design of walking and biking trails, pedestrian bridges, and outdoor plaza spaces for the community.
